The LIKEaBIKE is based on extensive
research and development in the field of cycling and childrens'
sense of balance. During the development phase, a multitude
of experiments was undertaken to develop the perfect LIKEaBIKE.
It may be interesting to note, that the LIKEaBIKE is also based
to a large part on the pioneering idea of Baron Karl Drais von
Sauerbronn. In 1817, the German Baron invented the very first
pre-bicycle. The rider would straddle the bicycle and propel
it forward by pushing his feet backward against the ground.
The invention of the "Draisienne" pioneered the way
for the development of the modern bicycles. |
